Job summary

BYU Pathway in Manti, UT is hiring an entry-level retail clerk for part-time hours at our on-site location. You will greet customers, provide product knowledge, assist with fitting and merchandising, operate the POS, and handle basic inventory tasks.

The role requires good communication, basic math and computer skills, and the ability to work Saturdays/holidays. Endowment with temple recommend is required for employment with the Church.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Complete internal customer service training within one month of hire.
• Basic math, reading, computer, and cashiering skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
• Ability to work under direct supervision and follow standard procedures and written instructions.
• Ability to work as scheduled and needed (including Saturdays and holidays).
• This position operates in a retail environment.
• Endowed member of the Church with a temple recommend.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and ascertains customers’ needs.
• Provides high-quality customer service and product knowledge.
• Develops understanding of contents and properties of all products.
• Responds to customer questions on curriculum and sizing.
• May provide personal fitting consultation at distribution store.
• Prepares merchandise for purchase.
• Operates POS terminal and finalizes sales.
• May assist supervisor with merchandising and inventory.
• May perform inventory counts and housekeeping duties.
• Work scheduled including Saturdays and holidays.
• Assist in other operational responsibilities as needed.
