Job summary

BYU Pathway Belmont is seeking a part-time retail clerk to provide excellent customer service, share product knowledge, and help customers with sizing and selections at our Belmont, MA store location.

The role emphasizes accurate cashiering, merchandise presentation, and effective communication while supporting store operations and inventory tasks. Training is provided, and weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Complete internal customer service training within one month of hire.
• Basic math, reading, computer, and cashiering skills.
• Good communication skills and demonstrated ability to work well with others.
• Ability to work under direct supervision and follow standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish tasks.
• Ability to work as scheduled and needed (including Saturdays and holidays).
• This position operates in a retail environment.
• There may be physical requirements such as standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and ascertains customers’ needs.
• Provides high-quality customer service and product knowledge.
• Develops understanding of contents and properties of all products.
• Responds to customer questions regarding curriculum and fitting of clothing.
• May provide personal fitting consultation to patrons at distribution store.
• Prepares merchandise for purchase.
• Operates point-of-sale terminal and processes returns.
• May assist with inventory and housekeeping duties.
• Ability to work Saturdays and holidays as scheduled.
