Job summary

Umpqua Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Roseburg, OR, is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team. This PRN role supports resident care with 1–2 shifts per week and two weekend shifts monthly, offering pay range of $48.00–$49.25 per hour based on licensed experience.

As part of the Volare Health family, you will work in a warm, supportive environment, coordinating with CNAs, LPNs, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care that enhances residents’

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon.
• SNF/LTC experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assessing resident needs and providing appropriate nursing care.
• Developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans.
• Monitoring resident conditions and responding to changes in health status.
• Administering medications and treatments per physician orders and policies.
• Supervising CNAs, LPNs, and other nursing staff in resident care.
• Communicating effectively with residents, families, physicians, and the care team.
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Complying with state/federal regulations and facility policies.
• Advocating for resident comfort, dignity, safety, and quality of life.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon.
• Previous nursing experience preferred.
• Skilled nursing facility (SNF) or long-term care (LTC) experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to effectively supervise and support nursing assistants, LPNs, and other care team members.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• A genuine passion for caring for others and improving residents’ quality of life.
• Ability and willingness to follow state and federal regulations governing nursing practice.
• Availability to work 1–2 shifts per week and 2 weekend shifts per month is required.
• Flexibility to work PRN shifts as needed.
