Job summary

Frontier Hospice is seeking a Full Time On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Oklahoma City and Edmond, delivering compassionate end-of-life care to patients and support to families.

In this on-call role, you will assess clinical and emotional needs, coordinate timely care, document accurately in EMR, guide families with empathy and expertise during critical moments while upholding dignity and comfort, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or health care preferred.
• Hold current unencumbered RN license.
• Minimum one year RN experience in medical-surgical/acute care; hospice experience a plus.
• Must be computer proficient including EMR usage.
• CPR certification if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Be the Lifeline: respond to patient needs from urgent to routine and provide ongoing support.
• Provide empathetic assessments of physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation in patient records and regulatory standards.
• Provide support for families by sharing knowledge and guiding care in the terminally ill context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or health care preferred.
• Hold current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Minimum one (1) year experience as an RN in a medical surgical/acute care setting. Hospice exp a Plus!
• Must be computer proficient in typing and various programs, including a background in EMR.
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification if required by state.

$84,000 - $90,000 per year (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general guideline for the role and is not a guarantee of the final offer. Compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s relevant experience and the specific responsibilities of the position. Final compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
