Job summary

Herc Rentals seeks a Pump Field Service Mechanic B in Lakeland, FL to perform preventative maintenance and on-site repairs for the fleet at customer job sites. You will work independently, on-call, and build strong customer relationships while upholding safety standards.

As a Field Service Mechanic B, you will diagnose and repair hydraulic, fuel, electrical, and propane systems, and ensure equipment stays in proper operating condition for future jobsites.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read detailed technical schematics, manuals and product labels.
• Own a sufficient selection of hand and power tools to complete most repairs.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain preventative maintenance on Herc fleet at long-term customer sites.
• Perform oil changes, lubrication, tire and hose work, and system repairs.
• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment to ensure safe operation on site.
• Troubleshoot fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and propane systems.
• Document service reports and repair logs, and follow safety rules.
