Job summary

Flik Independent School Dining in Providence, RI is hiring an on-call Prep Cook. You will prepare meals and serve customers according to federal, state, and local standards. Duties include following daily production schedules, using recipes, labeling and dating items, and maintaining HACCP guidelines.

Experience preferred; ServSafe certification preferred. Free meals and uniforms are provided at select locations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience preferred.
• ServSafe certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain daily production schedule from the Chef.
• Prepare items on production sheets following recipes.
• Complete daily production worksheets and waste logs; taste for quality.
• Operate and clean equipment per procedures after use.
• Store, label and date all food items; follow HACCP guidelines.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations.
• Take orders and prepare items with short prep time.
• Serve customers efficiently and friendly.
• Complete orders from steam tables and grills at multiple stations.
• Use approved recipes and standards for quality and portions.
• Resolves customer concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
