Job summary

FLIK Independent School Dining in Brookline, MA is hiring a full-time Prep Cook. The role prepares and serves meals to students, following production schedules and recipes.

You will handle batch cooking for high-volume service, maintain HACCP standards, and ensure accurate labeling and dating of ingredients. The position requires experience with batch cooking, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work Monday through Friday with varying hours.

Qualifications

• Previous batch cooking experience required.
• Experience in high-volume kitchen operations required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain daily production schedule and requirements from Chef.
• Prepare items following quantities and recipes on production sheets.
• Taste meals to ensure quality and serve customers efficiently.
• Operate and clean equipment per procedures after each use.
• Store, label and date all food items per policy; follow HACCP guidelines.
• Complete required documentation, logs and reports.
• Take orders from customers and prepare items with short lead times.
• Serve customers at multiple stations with friendly service.
