Job summary

Compass Group USA's Flik Independent School Dining is hiring on-call sous chefs to support the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking foods and supervising kitchen staff. The on‑call schedule may vary, and applicants should be available for immediate consideration.

We offer free meals, uniforms and laundering service at select locations, plus opportunities to contribute to nourishing students with fresh, locally sourced meals and nutrition education programs.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience required.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates, including scheduling and training as needed.
• Stores food in designated areas following all safety procedures.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and workstation.
• Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a courteous, service-oriented manner.
