Shelton Energy Solutions LLC in Lafayette, LA is seeking an Operator to operate heavy equipment for construction and maintenance of our power grid, helping build, repair and maintain overhead distribution systems.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of heavy equipment experience (powerline construction preferred), CDL Class A preferred (must obtain permit within 60 days), OSHA-10 within 90 days, and a strong commitment to safety.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience operating heavy equipment, preferably in powerline construction.
• CDL Class A license preferred; must acquire CDL beginner's permit within 60 days.
• Complete OSHA 10 hr Safety Training Program within 90 days.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsabilidades

• Drives and operates power tools and equipment for the department.
• Operates heavy equipment on job sites (backhoe, track hoe, front-end loader, skid steer, bulldozer, excavator, etc.).
• Monitors gauges and indicators during operation for non-standard conditions.
• Performs maintenance inspections and notifies supervisor of issues; wears PPE.
• Work follows project plans and safety guidelines.
• Travel as required; on-call and irregular hours.
