Job summary

Dixie Technical College is seeking on-call adjunct instructors and lab assistants to support Plumbing Apprenticeship programs. You will help train students in labs and classrooms, following syllabi and lesson plans, and assist full-time instructors as needed.

Responsibilities include delivering hands-on lessons, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring a positive, engaging learning environment daily. This role supports COE accreditation and requires collaboration with the instructional team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Residential Journeyman Plumber or Journeyman Plumber.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• The employee is able to follow written and oral instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students following syllabi, curriculum, and lesson plans; provide feedback.
• Deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that align with course plans.
• Prepare classroom and lab environments with clear objectives and competencies.
• Assign and grade class work, tests, and assignments promptly.
• Observe and document student performance; notify instructors of issues promptly.
