Job summary

Dixie Technical College is seeking on-call adjunct instructors and lab assistants to support Electrical Apprenticeship programs. You will help train students in labs or substitute for full-time instructors as needed.

Responsibilities include delivering hands-on lessons, following syllabi, and maintaining a positive, safe learning environment while coordinating with full-time staff to ensure program standards and accreditation requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years in industry.
• Strong communications and presentation skills.
• Proficient with Google Suite or Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students following syllabi and lesson plans and provide feedback to full-time instructors.
• Deliver engaging, hands-on lessons aligned with course plan.
• Prepare classrooms and labs for daily activities and learning objectives.
• Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, and assignments on schedule.
• Observe and record student performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain safe learning environments adhering to safety standards and FERPA guidelines.
• Be an active member of the instructional team and support COE accreditation.
• Assist with coordinating OAC meetings if requested.
