Job summary

Asante is seeking a Phlebotomist to draw blood and coordinate specimen collection while maintaining patient safety and comfort. The role requires precise venipuncture and strict ID protocols, with training provided for onboarding.

Open on-call shifts with variable hours; first 4–6 weeks full-time training across shifts. Both non-certified and ASCP-certified candidates considered, with differential pay for evening and night/weekend work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; good communication skills.
• 1 year laboratory or healthcare experience preferred; certification may waive experience.
• Certified Phlebotomy program completion from NACLS-approved provider may waive experience.
• ASCP PBT certification preferred for certified role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate collection of all phlebotomy specimens with team.
• Provide back-up support to Emergency and ICU departments as needed.
• Maintain patient identification protocols and safety procedures.
• Demonstrate proper venipuncture technique and adapt to patient age/condition.
