Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Phlebotomist or Phlebotomy Technician.
• Phlebotomy diploma preferred.
• Knowledge of patient identification methods.
• Familiarity with legal requirements regarding blood draws and fluid samples.
• Strong computer and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize requests for sample collection based on urgency
• Collect patients’ personal information
• Determine the correct venipuncture method for each patient
• Provide patients with reassurance during the collection process
• Use sterilized needles, vials, and other equipment to draw blood
• Correctly label samples and send them for testing
