Qualifications

• ASCP Certified with more than five years of phlebotomy and/or specimen processing experience.
• Phlebotomy certification or seven years of experience is required.
• Five years or more of phlebotomy and specimen processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures according to laboratory policies and procedures.
• Positively identify all patients and verify specimen identification.
• Receive and prepare laboratory specimens prior to analysis and testing.
• Centrifuge and aliquot specimens, following all special handling instructions.
• Complete logs for documentation and troubleshooting.
