Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain integrity of pharmacy and departments, ensuring compliance with State Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations.
• Analyze patient chart notes and perform drug utilization reviews.
• Evaluate prescriptions for clarity, route of administration, purpose, dosage, schedule, and compatibility.
• Consult with physicians on orders requiring clarification and discussion.
• Monitor technician activity related to prescription entering, filling, and phone communications.
• Dispense medications following regulatory standards and guidelines.
• Counsel patients regarding medications received.
• Provide 24 hour on-call coverage as required.
