Job summary

MN Adult & Teen Challenge in Rochester, MN is seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (MnPRA CPRS) for an on-call role with potential to become full-time. You will provide peer recovery support, educate clients, and attend groups to support recovery goals.

Responsibilities include developing recovery plans, connecting clients to resources, documenting progress, and coordinating with the care team. A CPRS credential and lived experience with substance use are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a CPRS credential in good standing through the Minnesota Certification Board (MCB).
• Must abide by MCB’s code of ethics with professional boundaries.
• Excellent in-person communication, relationship management, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Credible or similar EHR preferred.
• Must have a lived experience related to substance use.
• Must be comfortable working with individuals facing mental health and addiction challenges.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel locally.
• Commitment to MnPRA core values: compassion, honor, respect, integrity, servanthood, trust.
• At least 1 year of freedom from problematic substances.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one peer recovery support and help clients maintain recovery.
• Develop Recovery Wellness Plan (RWP) with clients and track progress.
• Connect clients with community resources including housing, food, and employment services.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
• Document client interactions and billable services; up to 8 units per client per day.
• Submit hours for payment based on billable services provided.
• Attend weekly supervisor meetings and LADC supervision sessions.
• Maintain relationships with treatment centers and community partners.
• Perform basic administrative tasks, including emails and documentation.
