Job summary

Morrison Healthcare is seeking an on-call Patient Server at Providence Health St Peter in Olympia, WA. You will support patient meals, take menu selections, assemble and deliver trays, and assist with in-between meal service in a busy hospital setting.

We value a friendly, caring attitude, adherence to dietary restrictions, accurate tray assembly, and collaboration with nursing staff to meet patients' nutrition needs while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Computer technical skills to operate hospital systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient food service on assigned units, including menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pick-up, special requests and needs, and in-between meal food delivery.
• Exhibits a friendly, caring attitude to patients when taking menu selections and delivering trays.
• Takes patients' menu selections prior to each meal and ensures dietary restrictions are followed.
• Assembles trays according to patients' menu selections and tray tickets.
• Interacts with nursing staff to ensure diet prescriptions are accurate and patients' food needs are met.
• Maintains accurate information for each patient on the unit(s).
