Job summary

Marsden Services is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician Level II or III for our Burlington, VT site. This role supports preventive maintenance, basic repairs, and unit prep while communicating clearly with residents and vendors.

The position is part-time (20 hours/week) with shifts from 10am to 2pm, Monday–Friday. Compensation includes hourly pay plus a $75 deployment bonus per paid shift and required on-call duties, plus ongoing training and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-year technical degree or equal experience preferred.
• 4 years in multi-family or commercial maintenance experience.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of related duties including equipment installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to meet company standards and laws.
• Schedule, prioritize, and ensure timely completion (48 hours) of all work orders.
• Complete basic repairs related to HVAC, electrical, carpentry, fixtures, plumbing, appliances, and windows.
• Assist in prioritizing work orders and monitoring maintenance of buildings and equipment.
• Perform all site-level preventative maintenance inspections and duties assigned.
• Prepare vacant units as assigned and work with vendors on maintenance projects.
• Maintain tools, parts, and supplies inventory and a clean workshop area.
• Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and property management.
