Job summary

Wasatch Behavioral Health is seeking a Part-Time, On-Call Human Service Worker for our Intensive Residential Treatment Center in Provo, Utah. The role is onsite with a wage of $17.50-$22.17 per hour, DOE, and involves supporting adults with chronic mental illness in building daily living skills in a safe, structured environment.

You will work flexible schedules (Mon-Fri or Fri-Sun), provide supervision, assist with routines, lead activities, and collaborate with clinicians to promote recovery

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations.
• Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn.
• Experience or education in mental/behavioral health is helpful but not required.
• Must pass a background check and meet WBH hiring standards.
• Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate support, supervision, and encouragement to program participants.
• Assist residents with daily routines, living skills, and activities that promote independence.
• Facilitate structured activities and skills groups in a supportive environment.
• Assist with crisis intervention and help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic setting.
• Document client interactions, progress, and observations accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with therapists, supervisors, nursing staff, and other members of the treatment team.
• Model positive behaviors, healthy coping strategies, and effective communication.
• Support residents as they work toward their individualized treatment and recovery goals.

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
