Job summary

Wasatch Behavioral Health in Provo, UT seeks a Full-Time Therapist to provide individual and family therapy across age groups. The role focuses on trauma-informed care for children, youth, and families, with assessments, treatment planning, and collaboration with clinicians.

Onsite schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. The position offers licensure-dependent pay ranging from $28.79 to $44.47 per hour and requires Utah licensure or the ability to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, or related field.
• Utah licensure as CSW, ACMHC, AMFT, LCSW, CMHC, or LMFT (or ability to obtain before start).
• Experience conducting clinical assessments and developing treatment plans.
• Ability to work with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and possibly group therapy to clients of varying ages.
• Perform clinical assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based approaches to help clients meet goals.
• Support clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, or behavioral concerns.
• Coordinate care with other clinicians and behavioral health staff.
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and records.

The Provo Family Clinic primarily serves children and families experiencing trauma, mental illness, and behavioral health challenges, with services addressing conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, behavioral concerns, sexual behavior problems, autism spectrum disorders, and post-adoption needs.

Experience working with young children is preferred

What You'll Do as a Therapist

• Provide individual, family, and potentially group therapy to children, youth, adults, and families.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Utah licensure as CSW, ACMHC, AMFT, LCSW, CMHC, or LMFT (or the ability to obtain it before starting).
• Solid skills in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and providing therapy.
• Comfortable working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team.
• Reliable with documentation and maintaining professional standards.
• Committed to ethical practice and ongoing learning.
• Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase.

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
