Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking an entry-level support role in California to assist the surgical team and operating room staff. The position involves lifting patients, positioning for procedures, assisting physicians, and transporting patients and materials as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three months recent O.R. experience or Nurse Attendant experience required.
• Ability to lift 70-80 lbs.
• Per the National Agreement, current KP Coalition employees have this experience requirement waived.

Responsibilities

• Lift patients and prepare/position for procedures as a member of the surgical team.
• Check in patients and direct to appropriate department.
• Transport patients, specimens, and supplies as needed.
• Ensure equipment is available for procedures and examinations; assemble/disassemble instruments.
• Participate in in-service programs, safety demonstrations, and staff training.
• Be prepared for additional activities and responsibilities as directed.
