Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking an Operating Room support attendant to maintain a clean, safe surgical environment in compliance with KP standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves assisting with patient positioning, room turnovers, and the safe handling of supplies and equipment.

You will transport materials across departments, monitor stock levels, and collaborate with nursing staff while adhering to Perioperative Services policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• General understanding of medical and aseptic techniques required.
• Effective interpersonal communication with nursing staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean and safe physical environment for patients and staff.
• Between case cleaning and room turnovers.
• Assists in transporting and positioning patients.
• Executes proper use, care and handling of equipment and supplies.
• Transports supplies and specimens to operating rooms, sterile processing, lab, Pathology, and x-ray departments as required.
• Maintains appropriate stock levels in assigned areas.
• Adheres to Perioperative Services Policies and Procedures.
• Performs other related duties as directed.
