Job summary

Huntsville Hospital is seeking an Operating Room Technician to contribute to patient care in the OR. The role supports the RN and surgical team, performing essential tasks and ensuring sterile, safe procedures.

This position requires completion of a certified OR technician program (or equivalent), a high school diploma or GED, and current BLS within 90 days. On-call availability is expected to cover varying schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Complete certification-eligible training within 90 days of hire.
• Complete non-certification-eligible training within 90 days of hire; 1 year experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification within 90 days; OR Technician certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care by applying OR Technician skills.
• Work under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Perform tasks related to patient care in the operating room.
• Be available for on-call shifts as required.
