Job summary

Your Role on the Team
Position Summary

Reporting to the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the performance of the full range of in‑vivo and in‑vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals and related chemical substances. Responsibilities include provision of quality patient care, timely throughput of patients, and performance of exams. The candidate operates and performs quality control of stationary and portable scintillation equipment, including gamma cameras, Geiger‑Mueller counters, well counters, dose calibration devices and ancillary equipment. Knowledge of State regulatory radiation safety practices and the principles of ALARA is required.

Required Qualifications
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must be able to provide on‑call/call‑back service as needed.
  • Minimum one year, full‑time experience working as a CNMT.
  • Knowledge of State regulatory radiation safety practices and the principles of ALARA.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
  • Current and active State of California CNMT License.
  • Current and active NMTCB and/or AART (N) licensure for Nuclear Medicine.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year, full‑time experience performing Nuclear Medicine procedures.
  • Knowledge of university and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
