Job summary

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in journalism or related field preferred.
• Three+ years in news editing/producing, anchoring, and reporting preferred.
• Flexibility to cover shifts from 4AM to 7PM.
• Familiarity with Seattle local issues and political dynamics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and engaging news content for over-the-air and online.
• Write brief, factual newscasts, updates and traffic reports for live delivery.
• Record, edit and mix audio to meet deadlines.
• Identify and secure interviews with guests and newsmakers; build a robust source network.
• Maintain proficiency with studio equipment and multimedia systems.
• Work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.
