Bowman Properties Ltd in Alaska is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to keep building systems running smoothly. You will respond to maintenance requests, perform routine upkeep, and collaborate with our team to address tenant needs.

The ideal candidate has multiple years of maintenance experience, solid knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, and a dependable, on-call mindset to cover nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems.
• Understanding of maintenance equipment, procedures, and techniques.
• Available to be on call (1 week every 3-4 months and 1 holiday every 2 years) and respond to maintenance requests on nights and weekends.
• Excellent work ethic, communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and building systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to ensure efficient operation and perform repairs.
• HVAC tasks include troubleshooting, clearing condensate lines, replacing condensate pumps, thermostats, bleeding radiators and relighting boilers.
• Electrical tasks include replacing switches/outlets, installing light fixtures and ceiling fans.
• Plumbing tasks include drain clearing, replacing toilets, repairing or replacing lines and fixtures, replacing water heaters and relighting pilots.
• Appliance maintenance includes repair/replacement of parts and installation of new appliances.
• Minor carpentry tasks such as adjusting doors/hinges and installing bathroom accessories; respond to tenant requests and report issues.
