Job summary

RR Living is seeking a Service Technician to perform make-readies, plumbing, carpentry, painting, pool and grounds maintenance, and related tasks to ensure resident health and safety. Strong public relations with the community and residents is essential.

Flexibility for on-call shifts and varying hours is required. The role requires 2+ years of relevant experience, EPA/HVAC certification, and maintenance certifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of relevant maintenance experience required.
• EPA and HVAC certification required.
• CPO Certification preferred.
• Certification in one or more maintenance specialties (plumbing, refrigeration, etc.) preferred.
• OSHA knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Expedite make-ready maintenance: check appliance operations, change light bulbs, repair minor electrical problems, change AC filters, locks, door/window locks, basic plumbing, carpet repair.
• Plumbing: repair dripping faucets, clean stopped sinks/tubs/toilets/sewer lines; maintain HVAC and boilers.
• Pool maintenance: backwash filters, vacuum pool, skim pool, maintain chemical levels.
• Carpentry: repair balconies, doors, frames, flooring, fences, dumpsters, tiles, glass.
• Painting: repair drywall, texture walls/ceilings, paint surfaces.
• Grounds maintenance: collect litter, assist groundskeeper, snow/ice removal from public areas.
• Expedite service requests: maintain good relations with residents and management.
• Associated tasks: repair appliances, re-key locks, light electrical repairs, inventory supplies, replace burnt-out lights.
