Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is seeking friendly, dependable substitutes to support mixed-age classrooms (ages 0–6). This on-call role offers flexible hours and a welcoming, nurturing learning environment, with training provided during orientation and onboarding.

You’ll step into classrooms as needed, assist with routines and activities across age groups, and help maintain a calm, engaging atmosphere. Many substitutes later move into full-time Assistant Teacher roles, providing growth opportunities

Qualifications

• Negative TB test within the last 12 months
• Valid state background check
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Warm, friendly, and dependable demeanor
• Passion for working with young children
• Preferred: Early Childhood Education (ECE) units

Responsibilities

• Step into classrooms as needed to support children and maintain consistency
• Assist with daily routines and classroom activities across mixed-age groups
• Help create a warm, safe, and engaging environment for children
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of care
• Model patience, professionalism, and kindness in every interaction
