Job summary
MultiCare Capital Medical Center in Olympia, WA is seeking a Medical Lab Technician to perform a range of analytic testing, QC, data analysis and troubleshooting. The role involves on-call coverage with shifts that may include days, evenings, nights and weekends; shift hours vary from 5-10 hours.
The MLT performs specimen handling, instrument maintenance and calibration, and must have an associate degree with MLT certification.
Qualifications
- Associate degree required.
- Current MLT (ASCP)CM or MLT (ASCP) certification preferred.
- 50 week military program may substitute for degree.
Responsibilities
- Receive specimens and establish positive ID.
- Determine specimen suitability and accept/reject as needed.
- Perform instrument maintenance and calibration.
