Job summary

Outagamie County is seeking a Mechanic/Maintenance Facility Technician to perform skilled and semi-skilled maintenance of buildings, equipment and grounds. The role reports to the Shop Foreman and/or Equipment/Facilities Superintendent and requires a valid CDL and strong troubleshooting abilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with relevant trades training.
• Two years of construction, remodeling or maintenance experience.
• Valid CDL with N endorsement or ability to obtain within two years.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform building and grounds maintenance and limited equipment maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies after hours and report within 45 minutes.
• Repair tires and maintain road service; inspect and service equipment as needed.
• Operate tools and read MSDS; follow safety procedures and maintain clean work area.
