Job summary

Outagamie County is seeking a Custodial and Maintenance Assistant to support facility operations, focusing on preventive maintenance, repairs, and building care across the grounds and equipment. This is a second‑shift position, Monday–Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, with no weekends or on‑call.

The role requires high school diploma or GED and at least one year of maintenance experience, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year of maintenance experience.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Completion of POPE (Pre-Offer) and current CPR certification required; Flu vaccination required unless exempt.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled maintenance work in one or more trades.
• Repairs walls, furniture, and building components.
• Operates, maintains and repairs equipment used in duties.
• Performs heavy cleaning, including floors, restrooms, and surfaces.
• Maintains grounds and handles snow removal and related tasks.
• Provides transportation using wheelchair accessible vans as needed.
