Job summary

The City of Conroe is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform labor-intensive tasks related to water and sewer system construction and maintenance. You may be required to work on-call and respond at any hour during emergencies when requested.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid Class C Driver's License, and within six months a Texas Class B CDL. Within one year you must obtain Class I sewer collection and Class D water licenses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class C Driver's License or higher.
• CDL Class B within six months from hire date.
• License to obtain Class I sewer collection within one year.
• License to obtain Class D water within one year.

Responsibilities

• Perform ordinary, labor-intensive tasks related to water and sewer system work.
• Assist operator to complete tasks and respond to emergencies during on-call.
• Follow City policies and safety procedures.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Texas Class C Driver's License

Texas Class B CDL within 6 months

Class I sewer collection license within 1 year

Class D water license within 1 year
