Job summary

Atrium Centers in Michigan seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment servicing in our long-term care facilities. You’ll follow manufacturer instructions, work under the Maintenance Supervisor, and help keep buildings safe and comfortable.

You’ll respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely, professional manner, maintain logs (water temp, call lights, generator, fire alarms), and collaborate with residents, families, and staff to

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a long-term care facility or larger institution preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and be on-call as needed.
• Good working knowledge of state rules and regulations.
• Ability to relate positively to residents, families, and team members.
• Positive Can-Do Attitude and excellent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs, construction-type projects, and servicing of equipment according to manufacturer instructions, facility policies, and under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor
• Ensure equipment and utilities are maintained in good working order and facility grounds are properly maintained
• Conduct preventative maintenance as assigned, including facility logs such as water temperature, call lights, generator, and fire alarms
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
