Job summary

Avera Marshall Hospital is seeking a Maintenance Technician (PRN) to perform general, mechanical and preventative maintenance across our facilities. The role includes inspections, repairing and moving equipment, and supporting a safe, efficient environment.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, document work, follow safety standards, and respond to on-call needs, including weekends or holidays. Requires high school diploma or GED, MN driver's license, boiler operator licensing within 180

Qualifications

• High School or GED Equivalent.
• Driver's License (MN) - Minnesota Department of Public Safety Upon Hire.
• Boiler Operator licensing required within 180 Days.
• 1-3 years experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Consults with and keeps supervisor informed on progress and any problems with assigned projects.
• Maintains all required records and pertinent information.
• Has knowledge of trends, standards, and legalities of practice and activities of department and facilities.
• Demonstrates ability to perform and finish carpentry work.
• Demonstrates ability to install sheetrock, plaster, metal studs (building materials) and perform culking.
• Demonstrates ability to install locks and other door and cabinet hardware.
• Demonstrates ability to assemble and install basic cabinetry and interpret drawings.
• Operates and maintains boilers and takes appropriate action for safe operation.

Education

High School or GED Equivalent

Driver's License (MN) - Minnesota Department of Public Safety Upon Hire

Boiler Operator - Licensing Board within 180 Days

1-3 years experience in a related field
