Job summary

Pivotal Housing Partners in Grimes, IA is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a part-time role (24 hours per week) to support Latitude Lofts (50 units multifamily). You will provide high-quality service to residents, perform routine maintenance, and respond to emergencies with a positive, service-minded approach.

The position requires 1+ years of related experience, reliable transportation, and on-call availability. HVAC training or certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related experience
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• HVAC training and certification preferred
• Commitment to regular attendance (may include weekend and OT hours)
• Ability to be “on-call” for emergencies
• Ability to receive, manage, and close work orders by using smartphone applications

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to all current and future residents
• Complete resident work orders on a timely basis (24 to 48-hour expectation)
• Broad knowledge of general maintenance: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
• Assist with court-ordered “set-outs” when necessary
• Perform unit turnover between residents per company standards (3-5 days)
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal
• Be responsive to on-call emergencies
