Job summary

Pivotal Housing Partners LLC is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician to provide high-quality service to residents at our Grimes, IA community. The role involves routine upkeep of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, with an emphasis on safety and resident satisfaction.

You will handle work orders via our Maintenance Mobile app, manage on-call emergencies, and contribute to a clean, well-maintained living environment across shifts booked for evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related experience.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• HVAC training and certification preferred.
• Ability to be on-call for emergencies.
• Ability to receive, manage, and close work orders via smartphone.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to residents.
• Complete resident work orders on a timely basis (24–48 hours).
• Broad knowledge of general maintenance: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Assist with court-ordered “set-outs” when necessary.
• Perform unit turnover between residents per company standards (3–5 days).
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal.
• Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Be responsive to on-call emergencies.
