Job summary

Pivotal Housing Partners LLC in Chicago, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support residents at the 78-unit Austin Legacy Residence. You will provide high quality service, perform routine maintenance, and be the go-to person for emergencies to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.

The position requires 1+ years of related experience, HVAC/plumbing/electrical/carpentry know-how, and reliable transportation. HVAC training or certification is preferred.

Qualifications

1+ years of related experience
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
HVAC training and certification preferred
Commitment to regular attendance (may include weekend and OT hours)
Ability to be “on-call” for emergencies
Ability to receive, manage, and close work orders using smartphone apps

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer service to residents
Complete resident work orders on a timely basis (24-48 hours)
Broad knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
Assist with court-ordered set-outs when necessary
Perform unit turnover between residents (3-5 days)
Maintain grounds and curb appeal
Be responsive to on-call emergencies
