Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a General Maintenance Technician for Fort Greely, AK. You will perform maintenance on rental units, offices, and grounds, ensuring safe, quality service for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include repairs, appliance installation, on-site upkeep, and after-hours emergency responses. A valid driver's license, basic tools, and strong customer service skills are required to succeed in this role in a federal facility environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience.
• Current driver's license in good standing.
• Proficiency in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, flooring or appliances.
• Ability to provide basic tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls to complete maintenance work and property management requirements.
• Complete repairs as directed by supervisor or management.
• Transport, install and connect stoves, refrigerators, dishwashers and other appliances.
• Move equipment, furnishings and appliances to job sites.
• Repair and fabricate window and door screens/frames.
• Remove floor tile and related materials; maintain safety and cleanliness.
• Respond to after-hour emergencies and urgent repairs.
• Document work orders with time, materials and notes.
• Update status on mobile devices; communicate results to supervisor.
• Maintain professional conduct with customers, staff and subcontractors.
• Attend trainings relevant to duties and efficiency.
