Job summary

Sherman Associates is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support our downtown Minneapolis property. The role covers diverse maintenance tasks, timely response to resident requests, and proactive upkeep to ensure safety and quality.

The position includes on-call rotations and supervision of routine repairs in a vibrant rental portfolio. 1–4 years in maintenance and a valid driver’s license are required; boilers/CPO certifications are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and relevant maintenance experience.
• 1–4 years in maintenance or related carpentry/construction experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR check.
• Boilers license or willingness to obtain one, if applicable.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or willingness to obtain one, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting).
• Respond to work orders within 24 hours and prepare vacated units within 24–48 hours.
• Assist Preventive maintenance scheduling for buildings and equipment.
• Manage maintenance supplies and coordinate with vendors and bids.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and resident relations; on-call rotations.
