Job summary

Bozzuto is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Oakland, CA. You will resolve issues, perform preventive maintenance, and prepare apartments for move-in while upholding building upkeep and safety.

A strong service mindset and reliable transportation are essential. Responsibilities include responding to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs, providing excellent customer service, and participating in an on-call rotation, including weekends or evenings.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or an education in the trades.
• Beginner to intermediate proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair.
• Availability for emergency situations at the property, including an on-call rotation.
• Ability to lift 25–50 pounds frequently and 10–20 pounds constantly.
• Reliable transportation and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high quality service by resolving resident issues and performing preventive maintenance.
• Address HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair needs at the property.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in through turnover repairs.
• Keep the building safe and clean; handle snow removal and grounds upkeep.
• Provide residents with outstanding customer service; be on call for emergencies.
