Job summary

Split Rock Rehabilitation and Health Care Center seeks a dedicated Maintenance Technician to perform building upkeep, repairs, and preventive maintenance. You will report to the Maintenance Director and Assistant Maintenance Director, handling tasks across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems to keep the facility safe and functional.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance and repairs.
• Proficiency in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, mechanical repairs, and HVAC maintenance.
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks as directed by the Maintenance Director and Assistant Maintenance Director.
• Conduct minor building repairs, including carpentry, drywall patching, and painting.
• Execute minor electrical work.
• Handle minor plumbing repairs, such as faucet and drain repairs.
• Undertake minor mechanical repairs, including wheelchair and wheel-castered items, belt changes, and motor repairs.
• Perform minor HVAC repairs and preventive maintenance, including filter changes.
• Complete work orders promptly and document completion, time, and materials.
• Maintain and update required FDNY certificates as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
• Be available for on-call duty 24/7.
