Job summary

Eagle Rock Properties in Freehold Township, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for the appearance and working order of apartments, exterior, and common areas, under the Property Manager or Maintenance Manager.

You will handle HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs, coordinate make-ready and turnover, and uphold safety and building codes. Weekend availability and on-call rotation are required.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in residential or facilities settings.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA and MSDS, risk management.
• Proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical trades, and appliance repair.
• Basic carpentry, drywall, and painting skills.
• Safety-minded with attention to detail.
• Availability for weekend work and on-call emergencies.
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.
• EPA Certification (Type I & II or Universal) recommended.

Responsibilities

• Maintain appearance and working order of individual apartments, exterior, and common areas.
• Respond to service tickets with timely follow-ups and meticulous completion.
• Resolve HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues.
• Manage the make-ready and apartment turnover process to enable leasing.
• Preserve building value via preventative maintenance programs.
• Maintain cleanliness and grounds, including snow removal.
• Work weekends and participate in on-call rotation.
• Adhere to building, county, and safety codes; maintain accident-free operation.
