Job summary

Triboro Center, a 405-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility, is seeking a Maintenance Tech to uphold safety, cleanliness, and functionality of our Bronx, NY facilities. The role involves HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry tasks and responding to staff and resident maintenance requests.

The ideal candidate has extensive maintenance experience, strong work ethic, and the ability to stay composed under pressure, with on-call flexibility and basic leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Min. high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong work ethic, intense drive and initiative for quality service.
• Rotating on-call availability during off-hours and weekends.
• Solid computer skills; MS Office experience.
• Extensive experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry and general maintenance.
• Ability to multi-task in stressful situations.
• Evidence of basic leadership and supervision skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with regular facility & equipment inspections for safety, upkeep, appearance.
• Assist with maintenance of HVAC system, plumbing electrical installation/repairs
• Responding to maintenance requests by Staff & Residents.
• Repairing and maintaining vacated rooms in a timely manner.
• Be available for emergency troubleshooting & repairs of equipment.
• Ensure that all equipment is clean and in working condition at all times.
• Ensure all work is done in accordance with State/Federal & OSHA standards.
