Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician to maintain all facets of the physical plant and grounds at designated facilities, Monday through Friday. This role includes on-call duties and a split-site assignment at Victorian Woods and Taylorville in Rolling Meadows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent maintenance experience.
• Trade or technical school training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, janitorial duties, and repair of buildings and grounds.
• Report needs for major repairs.
• Follow standards regarding safety, licensing, regulatory and agency requirements.
• Implement and manage preventive maintenance program.
• Assist in resident apartment or room turnover preparations.
• Perform on-call service, as scheduled, and respond promptly to emergencies.
• Mileage reimbursement available and driving time is part of hours worked when on call.
• Document work orders and complete other reporting functions in compliance with LSSI and/or funding source requirements.
