Job summary

Lutheran Social Services of Illinois is hiring a full-time Apartment Maintenance Technician at Riverain Point Apartments in Batavia, IL. Work Monday–Friday, every other Saturday, and on-call every other week to maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment in line with health and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, with maintenance experience preferred, and possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency with basic computer/tablet tasks and MS Office.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing; reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, janitorial tasks, and repairs for buildings and grounds.
• Report needs for major repairs and follow safety/licensing regulations.
• Implement and manage preventive maintenance program.
• Assist in resident apartment turnover preparations.
• Provide on-call service as scheduled and respond to emergencies.
• Receive mileage reimbursements; driving time counts as hours worked when on call.
• Document work orders and reporting per LSSI requirements.
