Job summary

Marsden Services seeks a Back-Up Maintenance Technician to support our property teams in Atlanta, GA. This role fills in for the Primary Maintenance Technician and ensures repairs are completed safely, on time, and to code, across building maintenance, vacancy prep, and preventive tasks.

The position requires reliable on-call availability, clear communication with residents and vendors, and basic maintenance skills.

Qualifications

• Must have basic computer skills (email, timekeeping, data entry).
• Maintenance experience or hands-on technical skills preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication with residents, vendors, and coworkers.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, prioritize, and complete work orders within an expected 48-hour timeframe.
• Develop, track, and complete preventive maintenance activities for assigned properties.
• Help prioritize work orders and monitor building/equipment condition.
• Prepare assigned vacant units.
• Provide on-call emergency maintenance coverage per schedule.
• Follow safety policies and local, state, and federal regulations.
