Job summary

Arbor Property Management, Inc. in New Braunfels, Texas is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to support the Maintenance department.

You will perform general maintenance, make-ready work, preventive maintenance, and grounds care while delivering exceptional resident service. Responsibilities include responding to service requests, conducting repairs across trades, documenting work orders, and assisting the Lead Maintenance and Property Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of apartment or general maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license; EPA Type II preferred; CPO preferred where applicable.
• Strong customer service and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests promptly and professionally.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general maintenance repairs.
• Maintain accurate work order documentation.
• Provide courteous customer service while working in occupied apartments.
• Prepare vacant apartments per Arbor make-ready standards.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, pool, landscaping, exterior lighting, and curb appeal.
• Assist with on-call responsibilities and report emergencies promptly.
