Job summary

Arbor Property Management, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to preserve safety, appearance, functionality and curb appeal while delivering excellent resident service. You will perform general maintenance, make-ready work, preventive tasks, and grounds care.

This role requires 1–3 years in apartment maintenance, a valid driver's license, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds. On-call rotation and teamwork are essential, with opportunities to grow across properties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of apartment or general maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with apartment maintenance trades is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests promptly and professionally.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general maintenance repairs.
• Maintain accurate work order documentation.
• Provide courteous customer service in occupied apartments.
• Prepare vacant apartments per make-ready standards.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, pool, landscaping, lighting, curb appeal.
• Prepare property for seasonal weather events, including freeze conditions.
• Assist with inspections, inventory, contractor coordination, meetings, training, and other duties.
• On-call; respond to emergencies; report to property; document repairs; communicate with managers.
