Job summary

Alila Ventana Big Sur is seeking a proactive On-Call Program Facilitator to support the resort’s guest programming in a fast-paced luxury environment. You will help deliver curated experiences and guest wellness activities while maintaining the highest standards of service.

This hourly on-call role schedules based on occupancy, events, and operational needs. You will welcome guests, explain schedules, adapt activities, and ensure safety and exceptional guest interactions across departments.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality, guest services, recreation, wellness, activities or related field.
• Luxury hotel/resort experience strongly preferred.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Able to interact with a wide range of guests and tailor experiences.
• Knowledge of Big Sur/ Central Coast, nature, wellness and outdoor activities preferred.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently with strong communication.
• Attention to detail and following procedures.
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities and conditions.
• CPR/First Aid certification may be preferred depending on programming.
• Flexible, on-call schedule required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and support scheduled resort activities, experiences, wellness programming, and guest programs as assigned.
• Welcome guests to each program and provide a warm, professional experience from start to finish.
• Clearly communicate program details, schedules, meeting locations, expectations, safety guidelines, and prep needs.
• Lead or assist activities with enthusiasm and guest engagement.
• Adapt programs based on group size, weather, and operational needs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of resort amenities and Big Sur area to help guests enjoy their stay.
• Provide thoughtful recommendations and local insights to enhance the experience.
• Anticipate guest needs and address questions or special requests.
• Maintain awareness of daily schedules, changes, and VIP information.
• Coordinate with Guest Services, Front Office, Spa, F&B, Housekeeping, Activities, and other departments for seamless experiences.
• Assist with setup, preparation, breakdown, and organization of program spaces and materials.
• Ensure all equipment and spaces are safe, clean, and ready for guests.
• Follow safety procedures and operating standards for assigned programs.
• Report maintenance or supply needs and guest feedback to leadership.
• Assist with special events, VIP experiences, and resort programming as needed.
• Maintain a polished, luxury service standard in appearance and behavior.
• Perform other guest experience and program support duties as assigned.
