Job summary

HealthFitness is seeking an enthusiastic Lifeguard to join the aquatics team at our corporate client site in Anna, Ohio. This on-call/substitute position provides coverage when regular lifeguards are unavailable and focuses on safety, emergency response, and customer service in a positive aquatic environment.

The role requires lifeguard certification, CPR/AED and First Aid, and strong MS Office skills. Candidates must be 16+ and prepared to work at a HealthFitness facility with dependable

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
• Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
• Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages with strong customer service skills.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
• Enforce and explain rules as necessary.
• Respond appropriately to any emergency.
• Perform chemical testing and document results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.
• Attend required staff meetings and training.
• Support the Aquatics Facility by folding towels, cleaning, filling water machines and inspecting the facility for safety.
